Up for sale from my personal collection is a magnificent 1930s Onoto "The Pen" Model 5601 in Chased Black Celluloid, crafted in England by Thomas De La Rue & Co. Ltd. London.

Restoration & Condition Details:
• Condition Rating: Excellent vintage condition (Jet black glossy celluloid with crisp chasing pattern, sharp barrel imprints reading ONOTO THE PEN / DE LA RUE & CO LTD LONDON, rolled gold clip and cap band, no cracks, oxydation on the clip, traces of uses.

• Restoration: Completely overhauled with new plunger washer seals and silicone grease; shut-off safety valve functions flawlessly with strong suction.

• Writing Performance: Tested with ink; the original 14K gold nib (stamped DE LA RUE ONOTO 14CT LONDON 3/ST) glides with a cushioned, velvety feel and expressive natural springiness (see writing sample).
