Omas 360 Vintage Limited Edition Fountain Pen in Transparent Red M 18K
Nib: Medium (M)
$917.67 USD
(A$1,260.00 AUD)
The Omas 360 Vintage Red is a bold, avant-garde masterpiece from the historic Bolognese manufacturer. Released in 2012 as part of the “Vintage” limited edition series, this pen celebrates the iconic triangular design first introduced by Omas in 1996. It is a striking fusion of Italian architectural precision and the high-quality materials for which Armando Simoni’s company was world-renowned.
Iconic Geometry and Material
The 360 is famous for its triangular cross-section, an ergonomic innovation designed to facilitate a perfect three-finger grip and an ideal writing angle. This “Vintage” edition is crafted from a vibrant, transparent red cotton resin. Unlike standard plastic, this natural resin is warm to the touch and offers a captivating depth, allowing the user to glimpse the internal piston mechanism and ink level through its translucent, ruby-colored walls. The cap is further distinguished by fine longitudinal ribbing, adding a refined textural contrast.
Engineering and Performance
The pen features a large, 18k solid gold rhodium plated nib engraved with a triangle—the hallmark of the 360 collection. Paired with an ebonite feed, it provides a wet, springy, and exceptionally smooth writing experience. As a true enthusiast’s tool, it utilizes a built-in piston filling system, operated by the triangular blind cap at the end of the barrel. With only 360 pieces produced worldwide, this red edition remains one of the most vibrant and sought-after expressions of Omas’s creative peak.
This pen is in near mint condition, having hardly ever been used. The ribbed cap and smooth transparent barrel are scratch-free, and the bright silver trim is in great condition.
