Hello, I am offering for sale an exceptional bundle pen.
This pen has never been offered for sale before.
Commissioned in 2009 by the Japanese Prime Minister's office and delivered the following year, it was designed for a single purpose: to be given to World War II veterans whose military pensions had been revoked by Japan after the war.
A silent and symbolic gesture of reparation, materialized in 1,161 copiesfor the KOP and 2 513 for the ro gear.
Each pen is stamped with the official government emblems: the cap ring bears the engraved inscription 内閣総理大臣贈 ("Gift of the Prime Minister of Japan"), and the kirimon go-shichi, a paulownia tree emblem, appears on the finial and the nib.
These are not decorative ornaments: they are official state insignia.
Magnificent 21k gold nib bearing the Prime Minister's emblem. The nib is truly superb.
KOP 21k M size
pro gear 21k h-m
The "Sakura Nagare" (Drifting Cherry Blossoms) maki-e decoration was created by the artist Tadashi Nakamura: black urushi lacquer, gold powder, raden (fragments of abalone shell with iridescent reflections), and enamels.
Approximately eight months of work per pen.
Condition: New Old Stock
The pens are presented in their original wooden box, with its ink pot bearing the kirimon (the original ink symbol). It is rare to find it with its original box.
On the secondary market, these pens only appear through inheritance, when the families of veterans decide to part with them.
