The pen is in Mint condition. Other than the fact that the pen was brought from a second-hand market, we have found no flaws in all the items. The pen is in mint condition with no wear and tear seen on the body, the clip & the trim also is flawless. This is in such good conditions that if not for the fact that it was brought second-hand we may even say it is brand new. A rare Sailor Fountain Pen released only in Japan with all its original set item still in mint condition

SAILOR "Clé à Jour" COCKTAIL SERIES 2020 FOUNTAIN PEN

The Clé à Jour (French for "Key of Daylight") is the ninth annual release in Sailor's highly sought-after Cocktail Series, which began in 2011. Each pen in this limited series is inspired by a real-world cocktail, translated into fountain pen form through color, theme, and design.

The 2020 edition, “Clé à Jour,” was inspired by a refreshing gin-based cocktail served with mint and lime — known for its crisp and luminous appearance, which is echoed in the pen’s cool, translucent body. Like other Cocktail Series releases, it was a Japan-exclusive model, produced in limited quantities for a limited time only.

This model was made using the Professional Gear (Pro Gear) Standard size, with its flat-top cap and tail finials, silver rhodium-plated accents, and Sailor’s iconic anchor cap medallion. Unlike previous cocktail pens that used rich or deep tones (like the 2016 Blue Lagoon or 2017 Mojito), Clé à Jour stands out with its ethereal, minty-translucent resin — giving it a crisp and luminous presence.

The Sailor "Clé à Jour" Cocktail Series fountain pen features a solid 21K gold rhodium-plated nib, produced entirely in-house by Sailor in Hiroshima, Japan. This nib is known for its smooth, slightly springy writing experience, offering excellent precision and ink flow. The 21K gold content gives the nib a softer, more responsive feel compared to 14K or 18K nibs, while the rhodium plating matches the pen’s cool-toned silver trim and adds a layer of durability. Typically engraved with Sailor’s anchor logo, nib size, and 21K hallmark, this nib embodies the brand’s tradition of craftsmanship and reliability.
