The Parker Premier Grain d’Orge is one of the more luxurious versions of Parker’s flagship Premier range, combining an intricate barleycorn-patterned metal body with an 18K gold nib.

Introduced in 1983, the original Parker Premier was developed as a more prestigious relative of the Parker 75. Produced primarily in France, it shared elements of the 75’s distinctive section and nib design but was made larger and more substantial, with Parker positioning it toward the top of its range.

This particular example features the Grain d’Orge, or barleycorn, pattern across the cap and barrel, finished in gold plate. The finely textured surface gives the pen considerably more depth than a conventional polished gold finish, while the Parker arrow clip and dark end jewels complete the classic design.

The pen is fitted with an 18K Fine gold nib and the characteristic adjustable section design inherited from the Parker 75 family. It uses Parker's practical cartridge/converter filling system.

This example is in good vintage condition.

The pen has been carefully inspected, cleaned and tested. The Grain d’Orge pattern remains crisp and well-defined; there is some minor loss of plating in some areas of the pen, especially in the cap band.

There are light surface marks and areas of wear consistent with the pen's age and previous use. Any significant imperfections are shown in the photographs.
