HISTORY OF PARKER 'SONNET'
Introduced in 1993, the Parker Sonnet was developed as a successor to the Parker 75, aiming to modernize the brand's flagship pen while maintaining its reputation for elegance and reliability. Designed by Geoff Hollington, the Sonnet featured a sleek, ergonomic design and was available in various finishes, including lacquered brass, sterling silver, and gold-plated options. The pen quickly gained popularity for its refined aesthetics and smooth writing experience
In 2008, Parker relaunched the Sonnet line with updated designs and new finishes, including the introduction of the Mk 2 model. This refresh featured a medium-width cap band, a redesigned nib with a V-shaped cut, and improved engraving techniques. The Mk 2 model also introduced additional nib sizes and special editions, further enhancing the Sonnet's appeal to fountain pen enthusiasts.
