This vintage Waterman 12 is a remarkably rare early overlay model, originating from the pivotal years of the Aikin Lambert merger and the subsequent transition to the Remex brand of pens. Its provenance is further marked by a strong model number imprint on the rear finial, affirming its authenticity and historical significance.

Crafted from lustrous ebonite with a stunning gold-filled overlay featuring a sinuous scroll pattern, this pen exudes classic elegance. The gold trim complements the rich ebonite, which has been lovingly rejuvenated to restore its original 'softness'.

At its heart lies a beautifully soft 'noodle flex' #2 New York 14k gold nib. Renowned for its superb feel, this nib offers exceptionally smooth flex and well-controlled ink flow, making it a joy for expressive writing. It features a Fine (F) Cursive Italic grind, providing remarkable line variation from 0.35mm to a dramatic 1.73mm (4.94x), with a flexibility rating of 250g.
