Discover a piece of literary history with this exquisite Preowned Montblanc Writers Edition Thomas Mann Mechanical Pencil 722.

Montblanc's 2009 Writers Edition Series pays homage to Thomas Mann, the celebrated 20th-century German novelist, most renowned for his masterpiece “Buddenbrooks”. This novel not only brought him immortality but also cemented his status as one of the most influential writers of his era.

Montblanc crafted this unique Writers Edition as a fitting tribute to Mann's unparalleled literary artistry. The design itself is a nod to the age of artistic creativity in which Thomas Mann lived: the Art Deco era. Its rich black lacquer is elegantly complemented by platinum-plated inlays, creating a sophisticated aesthetic.

The interplay of colors and materials on this writing instrument is thoughtfully designed to symbolize the complex relationships between the characters in “Buddenbrooks”.

This Thomas Mann edition was a highly limited release, comprising 12,000 numbered fountain pens, 15,000 numbered ballpoint pens, and only **3,000 numbered mechanical pencils**. Additionally, 3,000 complete sets, each containing one of each writing instrument, were also released.
