This is quite an interesting vintage celluloid pen from the Japanese Platinum Pen Company.
Almost a one-to-one copy of an old vintage English Parker Duofold with the lever filler down to its stylized clip! The material is very reminiscent of similar snake skin or lizard skin patterns of this era.
The fine steel nib writes with a soft, springy smooth line. On the shank of the nib that goes into the section there is a little bit of oxidation where some of the plating has worn off. It is minor, but noticeable. There is also significant plating loss on the cap band as well, exposing the brass underneath. The clip shows some signs of brasing as well with very small pitting in the chrome finish though the lever seems to be in great condition.
Fitted with a new sac, and tested with ink. This is a very neat piece of Platinum History.
