Preowned Parker 50 Falcon Flighter Fountain Pen
A beautiful Parker pen with a unique design, featuring a nib fully integrated into the grip unit.
The Parker 50, also known as the Parker Falcon, had a short run of production between 1978 and 1982. It was a model inspired by the design of the legendary Parker T1 - which was made of titanium and although quite stunning, was entirely uneconomical for Parker to produce.
Having not given up on the design of the sleek and well-balanced T1, Parker revisited the concept 7 years after the T1's discontinuation, only this time executing the model in the much easier-to-handle stainless steel.
The fountain pen listed here is the Flighter version, the first iteration of the Falcon, executed in stainless steel, and with gold electroplated details. This is a cartridge converter fountain pen that still looks extraordinarily modern almost 50 years after its introduction.
This is a preowned pen that is in excellent condition. Its brushed stainless steel bears almost no visible marks of use at all. There are slight markings from opening/closing the cap in the grip area, but this is a common issue with click-cap pens. At the top of the cap, there is a black plastic O-ring which shows minor signs of use/aging. The pen is in overall excellent condition and fully functional. It comes in a modern Parker gift box.
